You should definitely give “Dancing with the Lion” by Jeanne Reames a try. She’s probably the best known Hephaestion scholar.
Oh yeah I know. But I also have this thing where I totally avoid consuming any media in the same space of what I’m writing (outside of research materials), for fear of accidentally plagiarising. I do read them after I write though, so once I am done with the script I’ll totally pick up some Alexander fiction. Including that movie.
Reames’ papers are definitely in my stack of research.
Reimena Yee is a graphic novelist, artist and flamingo enthusiast.
She writes and illustrates quite a few webcomics and graphic novels. When not making books, she lulls away her time with essays on craft, life and experiences in the publishing industry. Some of her thoughts of art and life are rather unstructured and will evolve over time as this blog matures, as they should be.
Currently committed to being Alexander the Great's death doula. Is a nerd for all things spooky and historical.
