“What’s a topic setting or concept you’d want to explore more of in a story?”

I think all three of my current major comics (TWIDI, TCM and Alex) already explore a topic/concept that I have always been drawn to, even if the setting changes. That concept is: oh my god, look at how amazing and beautiful and creative human arts and storytelling and cultures are. I like making work that reminds myself and readers why the world is so full of beautiful things to learn of and appreciate.

Reimena Yee is a graphic novelist, artist and flamingo enthusiast.

She writes and illustrates quite a few webcomics and graphic novels. When not making books, she lulls away her time with essays on craft, life and experiences in the publishing industry. Some of her thoughts of art and life are rather unstructured and will evolve over time as this blog matures, as they should be.

Currently committed to being Alexander the Great's death doula. Is a nerd for all things spooky and historical.
