Oct032019: Favourite Things

“A couple of classic questions, because I actually don’t know the answers: what’s your favorite color? Favorite animal? Favorite food? Favorite movie? Favorite book (a hard one, I know) And, one more to round it off: do you have a memory or an experience that you reflect on while writing/drawing often (can be twice, 5x, always)? Something that reminds you to keep going on doing? If not, what is it that motivates you to do these actions? Have fun answering :)”

Fave colour: Anything except many shades of green. I don’t like green if it’s not from a plant or insect or some natural shade.

Fav animal: Flamingo and red panda.

Fav food: I like fried chicken a lot, and if I had to really choose, it would be nasi bojari with chinese-style fried chicken (Madam Kwan’s in particular).

Fave movie: Man from UNCLE? The Fall (the one with Lee Pace)? The Illusionist (the animated movie)? Milennium Actress?

Fave book: Lol how do I answer this. The Graveyard Book was influential, and something I can remember going back to multiple times. Epic of Gilgamesh is a good fave.

The experience: I think I am motivated more by ‘calling’ (looking towards a future that I want to realise), rather than ‘memory’ (looking back at the past). I did have a sudden random vision years ago of me as a middle-aged person in a house, feeling a sense of belonging and contentment at my life’s work, and I guess that’s the only thing you can arguably call a memory that keeps me going.
